Over 40 Years of History
Founded in 1983 by Stephen Pfendler, P.I.P.E., Inc. is an established leader in Indiana’s commercial construction industry. Originally located in the city of Greenwood, P.I.P.E.’s services quickly grew from Commercial Plumbing and Process Piping to include Fire Protection. Over the years, P.I.P.E. contracted consistently with companies such as Kroger, Wal-Mart, Hilton Hotels, and more.
After managing P.I.P.E., Inc. for over 30 years, Mark Helm and Gary Mitchell acquired the company from its founder in 2018. They continue to sustain growth and improve processes, ensuring the consistent delivery of the high-quality work our clients have come to expect.
As a long-standing member of the Indiana Plumbing Heating and Cooling Association, we actively contribute to the growth of the plumbing industry. Additionally, as a member of ABC, we remain committed to promoting growth within the construction industry as a whole.

Gary Mitchell and Mark Helm have been in management at P.I.P.E. Inc. for over 25 years. Over the last 8 years they have purchase P.I.P.E. Inc. from Stephen Pfendler who founded the company in 1983. They continue to grow P.I.P.E. Inc. to be able to give our clients the quality of work they’ve expected over the years. P.I.P.E. continues to provide our clients with additional services, which allows us to further improve our quality of work.
P.I.P.E. Inc is a founding and sustaining member of the Indiana chapter of the Plumbing Heating and Cooling Association, promoting growth in the plumbing industry. P.I.P.E is also a member of ABD and works diligently to promote the growth of the construction industry overall.
